School: Sample School Contact: Alana Jensen Latitude: 112 Longitude: 48 Hypothesis: Birds will not use the feeder near human influence as much as they will use feeders away from human influence. Materials Used: platform feeders, black-oiled sunflower seeds, spring scales, plastic bags Experiment Design: 1. Feeders were placed in locations on the playground - one next to the playground door, one near the swingset and one in the west corner. 2. Observation points were determined close to each feeder. 3. Seeds were placed in each feeder at 10:00 each morning. 4. Birds were observed in each location for 30 minutes. 5. Results were entered on data sheet.
