ISTA Regional Awards Nomination Form
ISTA is proud to offer regional awards for outstanding science teachers in both elementary and secondary categories. The award is presented to the winner at the Fall ISTA conference each year and includes a plaque for the teacher's classroom and a $100 stipend from the ISTA-Leroy Lee Memorial scholarship fund to provide funds for the teacher's professional development and/or teaching resources for the classroom.
Nomination for an outstanding teacher can be submitted by any "stakeholder" in the educational process (peer teacher, administrator, parent, etc) by completing the on-line form below. Nominations close each year on May 1st. Following the on-line nomination, the building administrator from the school will be contacted by the ISTA regional representative for an additional letter of recommendation. Awardees will be informed by May 31st.
