Discover the world around you through hands-on exploration.
These camps are dsigned to teach useful science in a fun and
participatory way. Our camp motto says it all:
"The worst day in the field is better than the best day in
the classroom."
There is no better way to learn about geology than from the
top of a volcano, or study water pollution from the middle of a
stream.
Field trips, experiments, and group projects are the heart of
the this exciting program that will leave a lasting impression
on all participants.

Friday:
Morning at the Museum
(prepare presentation for parents in the afternoon, art
activities, games and science experiments)
1:00 - Parents are
invited to a presentation by the campers and the families of
the campers are invited to tour the Museum.
Each day will include
journaling and art activities.
Campers will be split into two groups, one for younger
campers and one for older campers and returning campers from
last year. Each group will do the same activities, but at age
level. We also have two high-school aged counselors to assist
us. Our enrollment is limited to 25 students, so each camp
leader and assistant will have no more than 13 students in each
group.
We will have lunch in the field Monday-Thursday, so the
campers will be required to supply a sack lunch. Friday’s lunch
will be furnished by the Museum.
