Quality Assurance

The ESER Quality Assurance Program consists of five ongoing tasks which measure:

  1. method uncertainty
  2. data completeness
  3. data accuracy, using spike, performance evaluation and laboratory control samples
  4. data precision, using split samples, duplicate samples and recounts
  5. presence of contamination in samples, using blanks.

Sample results are compared to criteria described in the Quality Assurance Project Plan for the INL Site Offsite Environmental Surveillance Program (Stoller 2007). The following table summarizes the results of the quality assurance program for the first quarter of 2007.
