Milk samples were collected from dairies weekly in Idaho Falls and monthly at nine other locations around the INEEL (Figure 13).  A total of 39 milk samples were collected during the third quarter, 2001.  All samples were analyzed for gamma emitting radionuclides.  Only the September sample from Roberts had initial detections of both ¹³¹I and ¹³⁷Cs.  However, reanalysis could not support either detection, suggesting these were false positives.  Data for all ESER milk samples taken during the third quarter, 2001, are listed in Table C-7 (Appendix C).
